our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidneyresearchuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Research-Strategy-Document-Updated-address-Feb-2025.pdf\">Research Strategy to 2030<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prevent<\/strong> more people from developing kidney disease<\/li>\n<li><strong>Protect<\/strong> those living with kidney disease from kidney failure<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transform Treatments<\/strong> for people with kidney failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Consideration should be given to tackling health inequalities, collaboration and cross-fertilisation of ideas, harnessing data, and patient participation, inclusion and engagement.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking research proposals across the research continuum, from discovery science (aetiology and underpinning) through to health and social care research services, and implementation science.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidneyresearchuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Research-Strategy-Document-Updated-address-Feb-2025.pdf\"  target=\"_self\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tView our Research support\u00a0clinicians\u00a0in\u00a0specialist\u00a0training\u00a0to\u00a0undertaken research and gain a higher degree<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Funding period: over 3 years maximum<\/li>\n<li>Items of expenditure: fellow&#8217;s salary, higher degree fees, and consumables<\/li>\n<li>Annual consumables allowance: \u00a315,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\">Clinical PhD (AHP) fellowships<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-4\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>To support scientists\u00a0who have conducted\u00a0independent\u00a0\u00a0research\u00a0to build their reputation, deepening their knowledge and experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Funding period: over 5 years maximum<\/li>\n<li>Items of expenditure: fellow&#8217;s salary and consumables<\/li>\n<li>Annual consumables allowance: \u00a324,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"fl-accordion--label-5\">Intermediate non-clinical fellowships<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-5\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-5\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>For research specialism of post-doctoral scientists<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\nFunding period: over 3 years maximum<\/li>\n<li>Items of expenditure: fellow&#8217;s salary and consumables<\/li>\n<li>Annual consumables allowance: \u00a315,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"fl-accordion--label-6\">PhD studentships<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-6\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-6\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Supports a science graduate to obtain a higher degree<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Funding period: over 3 \u00bd years maximum<\/li>\n<li>Items of expenditure: student&#8217;s stipend, higher degree fees and consumables.<\/li>\n<li>Annual consumables allowance: \u00a35,000 up to a maximum of \u00a315,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<h2>Submitting an application<\/h2>\n<p>Information of eligibility, grant regulations and conditions, and opening and closing dates for These can be from underpinning research and aetiology through to health service research, and implementation science.    <\/p>\n<p>Alongside the main open round, to the same deadlines, we are also specifically calling for research proposals addressing rare, hereditary and paediatric kidney disease, including proposals addressing the challenges described in our Collectively Common report.<\/p>\n<p>We have increased the ceiling on our research project to \u00a3300,000 for a three-year period.
